Do you know your trees?

Not so much? Well, we can help!

Join us on Saturday, March 2nd, and we’ll help you learn to identify the trees in your backyard. It’s always good to know what’s on your land and to be able to identify invasive trees and shrubs.

The DLC’s Julie Hart and the Cary Institute’s Mike Fargione will teach you how to do this by looking at their shape, bark patterns, twigs, fruits, and seeds.

We’ll have an indoor workshop followed by a walk on the Cary Institute’s property to see things first hand, so wear boots and dress for the weather. It would be helpful to bring a hand lens or magnifying glass if you have one.

The details:
When: Saturday, March 2, 2019 – 1:30 to 3:30 pm
Where: Cary Institute, Main Campus Lobby, 2801 Sharon Turnpike (Route 44), Millbrook, NY

Registration is required and space will fill quickly, so sign up today!
