Dutchess Land Conservancy and Columbia Land Conservancy Launch Joint Book Club
The Dutchess and Columbia Land Conservancies have joined forces to promote virtual connection and reading good books!
“We’re very excited to bring this new virtual experience to our members, and are looking forward to teaming up with the Columbia Land Conservancy to foster a sense of community and a love of great books,” said Julie Hart, the DLC’s Senior Manager of Stewardship & Education.
“Talking about literature is a wonderful way to build community connections, and we’re really excited to partner with the Dutchess Land Conservancy to bring more readers together,” says Heidi Bock, CLC’s Conservation Education Manager.
The Where the Wild Books Are Book Club meets monthly October-March on the second Tuesday of the month, (beginning on October 12) from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and continues via a list-serve over the summer months. Discussion is ongoing on the list-serve, so participants should join even if they aren’t able to attend every meeting.
Please feel free to attend even if you haven’t read the entire book, and supply yourself with snacks and refreshments. Attendees should also feel comfortable dropping in and out of the meeting as they’re able to. To sign up to join the list-serve, click here!
