The DLC reaches a new milestone!
With the preservation of more than 500 acres of critical farmland, forests, meadows, ponds, and streams so far this year the Dutchess Land Conservancy is now conserving more than 47,000 acres in Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley. Those 47,000 acres are forever preserved for wildlife habitat and migration corridors, continued agricultural production, vital forests, scenic views, clear streams, local history, and climate resilience. It's through the foresight of the conservation-minded people in this area that the DLC has been able to accomplish so much. Onward and upward to 50,000!
