Dave Decker of the Buttercup Farm Audubon Sancturary led a stalwart group of volunteers to a line of old hedgerows planted many years ago with autumn olive. Besides the olive, numerous other invasives had sprouted and were choking native trees. Putting in a full morning, the volunteers were able to hack away numerous vines and shrubs, clearing space and opening up habitat for grassland birds. A big thank you to all of the volunteers who put in a great deal of effort to get a lot of work done!
