As we took our first steps forward with our brand-new Volunteer, Community Science, and Education Program, the DLC partnered with the Town of Stanford’s Conservation Advisory Commission for our first volunteer event, a trail maintenance and park beautification day at the Whitlock Preserve. Volunteers came out to help on Saturday, April 30 to plant native seedlings, construct a new trail bridge, post new trail markers, and haul out garbage. By the time we were done, the Whitlock Preserve – already a beautiful place – looked better than ever.
