DUTCHESS LAND CONSERVANCY’S COMMITMENT
The Dutchess Land Conservancy, Inc. (“DLC”) respects donor privacy. We are grateful for the support of our constituents and the crucial role people play in helping us continue our valuable work. As part of our commitment to safeguarding people’s privacy we have adopted this Donor Privacy Policy and Website Disclosure Privacy Statement outlined below.
COLLECTED INFORMATION: WHAT, WHEN, AND HOW
Personal Information
We will use your Personal Information to provide you with the information you request. If you provide your postal address, telephone number or email address to the DLC, you may receive periodic contacts from us. If you choose to provide your payment or credit card information to the DLC, we will use that information for the purposes for which it was provided; the DLC does not store credit card or other payment information on site. All DLC credit card and ecommerce transactions are run through a PCI-DSS compliant Service Provider.
The DLC uses Personal Information for legitimate business purposes including: a) processing and responding to inquiries and for the purposes for which you provided the information, such as to process donations, register or renew you as a donor or supporter, or to provide information about a project, special event, and service; b) responding to your questions and comments; and c) to alert you to administrative information such as information regarding service features, and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies.
Accounts in our Donor Database are stored in eTapestry. eTapestry (a product of Blackbaud) is a cloud-based development database used for fundraising and donor management, and serves as a contact database for members and contributors. eTapestry also provides the infrastructure for all DLC ecommerce transactions. All credit card transactions are run through eTapestry, which is PCI-DSS compliant. Essentially eTapestry (or Blackbaud) is the Service Provider, and the DLC is the Merchant (DLC is an ecommerce merchant.) Blackbaud is a Level I PCI Compliant. The DLC due to our limited number of transactions (less than 25k) and the fact that all of our transactions are run through the eTapestry website are “ecommerce” transactions, we are a Level IV (which is the lowest level meaning lowest risk, and also mostly under the radar.)
