Stewardship Associate
Chris Chinkan is born and raised in the Hudson Valley and joined the DLC in April of 2023. His responsibilities include data management and monitoring of the DLC’s conservation easement properties. Chris has an AS in Criminal Justice from Dutchess Community College as well as a BS in Environmental Science & Policy from Marist College. While at Marist, Chris interned at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies and The Mohonk Preserve, where he fell in love with land conservation. After graduating, Chris became an environmental educator at Nature’s Classroom New England, educating children on environmental issues and stewardship. In his free time, Chris enjoys fishing, hiking, traveling, and brewing beer.
